1942 WDDO-002

Description: Class IV, Offset Hub Doubling     "Best Of" Nickel Doubled Die Varieties
A strong spread to the south shows on IN GOD WE TRUST,  Jefferson’s profile - especially the nose, LIBERTY, the star and the date.  The spread was on an early hubbing as doubling does not extend to the rim on most letters around the rim.

Markers:

  • Obv:  Short diagonal die gouge at top of Jefferson's eyebrow north of front of his eye; die scratch in field between U of TRUST and Jefferson's eyebrow; die scratch from top of G of GOD to rim.
  • Rev:  None noted.
