Class VIII (tilted hub doubling) shows to the south on the third lowest branch on the left side of the target tree.
Markers:
- Stage A obverse: Short light die crack on Jefferson's upper lip.
- Stage B obverse: Heavy die crack on Jefferson's upper lip; die crack on the tip of his nose; die dot east of the tip of his nose.
- Stage A reverse: Small die dot to the upper left of the tallest tree; three small die dots above the lowest branch on the left side of the target tree.
- Stage B reverse: All Stage A reverse markers are abraded away; Diagonal die crack through 1805; die crack at the top and the bottom of the "O" of OCEAN; die crack extending west from the tip of the sixth lowest branch of the tallest tree.
