A nice constant spread toward the center shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, FIVE CENTS, MONTICELLO and both sides of the building. Extra thickness shows best on UNUM.

- Obv: The obverse is a doubled die listed as 1971-S Pr 5c WDDO-024.
- Rev: Two die gouges protruding from base of building above U of UNITED; short slanted die gouge at tip of right arch.
