1968-S WDDO-003 Proof "Best Of" Nickel Doubled Die Varieties

Description: Class I, Rotated Hub Doubling          "Best Of" Nickel Doubled Die Varieties
A very strong CCW spread shows on LIBERTY, the star, the date, IN GOD WE TRUST and the designer’s initials.  The spread is slightly weaker than that on 1968-S Pr WDDO-001 with the spread narrowing more toward the tops of the letters.

Markers: 

  • Obv:  Short vertical die gouge below bust and WNW of designer’s initials; short, strong, vertical die gouge near rim and to right of second T of TRUST.
  • Rev:  Short horizontal die gouge between tops of two left windows and roof.
