Very nice Class VIII doubling shows above the top step of the center steps and on the tops of the letters N, T, I, C, and E of MONTICELLO.

- Obv: Die gouge between D of GOD and W of WE; S-shaped die gouge to lower right of Jefferson's mouth.
- Rev: Die gouge in field below C of CENTS; die gouge between C and E of MONTICELLO.
