Description: Class VI, Distended Hub Doubling
Very strong Class VI doubling shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, CENTS, and LLO of MONTICELLO.  All spreads increase from left to right.

Markers: 

  • Obv:  Die crack in Jefferson's hair extending to rim at K: 12:00; die gouge on Jefferson's shoulder.
  • Rev:  Long slanted die scratch from P of PLURIBUS; die dot between lower portions of S and first T of STATES.
