1964 WDDR-018 Proof

Description: Class II, Distorted Hub Doubling
This variety was formerly listed as WDDR-204.  It replaces the original WDDR-018 listing which was delisted because it was a doubled working hub (See WWHR-001 below).  A close Class II spread shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, decreasing slightly from left to right.  Very close doubling shows on FIVE CENTS.

Markers:

  • Obv:  Two short horizontal die gouges on upper portion of Jefferson's nose; die dot east of his eye.
  • Rev:  Die dot above fourth column; die dot above right arch at roof line.
